Epic Games has been doing an amazing job in periodically releasing new content on Fortnite. While these updates might be minuscule, they’re a great way to keep players entertained well after finishing their Battle Pass.
Events such as Fortnitemares and Marvel Knockout are a huge help when it comes to this. Fortnitemares is a Halloween event that has a special mode where you can use spooky, exclusive Fortnite weapons. Marvel Knockout, on the other hand, is a spinoff of Operation: Knockout that lets you use superpowers to ultimately take the victory.
Let’s not forget the exclusive skins that are coming either! Fortnite has been pumping out Marvel skins that you can get via the Fortnite item shop. The best part is, you can potentially own some of these skins and have them be a part of your collection without even dropping a dime!
If you’re curious to know more about what’s popping in Fortnite for November 2020, then we’ve got you covered! We’ll give you a rundown of what to expect for this Battle Royale game!
Lachlan’s Pickaxe Frenzy
Kicking things off for November is Lachlan’s Pickaxe Frenzy. In this event, you and your two other friends can only use a pickaxe as your main Fortnite weapon. That means you can kiss those precious guns and grenade launchers of yours goodbye! As there’s a limited number of items that you can use such as Rusty Cans, Decoy Grenades, and Impulse Grenades, you’ll need to fight tooth and nail if you want your team to emerge victorious.
What’s more, the building material cap is set to only 10 per material. If you’re going to build, make sure it counts since your resources and materials are very limited. Winners get to have the Lachlan Outfit together with its Back Bling, Emote, and Pickaxe before it’s available for purchase in the Fortnite item shop. Lachlan’s Pickaxe Frenzy was held on November 8.
Marvel Knockout Tournaments
To give you a refresher of what a Marvel Knockout is, it’s essentially a spinoff of Operation: Knockout which first surfaced in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 2’s secret agent spy theme. In this Marvel version, you’ll be able to use superpowers and fight alongside a partner to become the best team in the tournament.
The knockout fight consists of four rounds, with each round utilizing a different set of powers and Fortnite weapons to battle opponents with. Should you survive and win all of the rounds, you’ll nab yourself an exclusive skin that will only be available in the Fortnite item shop after a few weeks.
There are five cups in total that you can participate in. The first one was the Daredevil Cup that was held on October 14, 2020. The second cup was held on November 4, 2020, and was called the Ghost Rider Cup. The third one is the Black Widow Cup which was held on November 11, 2020. There are still two more tournaments that you can join and take part in and you can register for free, so why not try your luck? The last one, specifically, is the $1 million Super Cup, so be on the lookout!
Farewell to Fortnitemares
Fortnite ares was one of those short yet sweet events. Be that as it may, it can be regarded as one of the best. Sadly, all things must come to an end. If you’re late to the news, Fortnitemares already ended on November 2 to make way for more Marvel-related content. While it didn’t last long, the event was definitely one for the books. If you’re still missing Fortniremares, you can hop on over to Fortnite Creative to create that Halloween vibe before the event permanently closes its door to players on November 20.
NFL-themed Skins
Of course, we can’t forget about the newest skins that are dropping just before December ends! The Gridiron Gang set which consists of three NFL-themed skins is now available for purchase in the item shop. These NFL uniforms have been redesigned to have a more athletic feel. You can also complete your look by having the Logo-a-go Back Bling where you can customize any of the NFL teams’ logos.
Epic is letting us have our own creative freedom for this skin set as well since you can customize the jersey numbers. Think you’re the number one player in Fortnite? Then slap that “1” at the back of your jersey! Don’t worry, we won’t judge you! There are emotes that you can add to your football fantasy such as the “Penalty” and “It’s Good” emotes as well, if you’re the type that likes to collect them.
A Brief Look for Things to Come
It seems like December 2020 is looking like the NFL season for Fortnite. With the postseason of NFL and Superbowl going underway soon, Epic Games will be holding two competitions in Fortnite that sport the football theme: the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl and NFLPA Open. Specifically, the Twitch Rivals Steamer Bowl is the star of the show here.
Twitch streamers and NFL players will go head-to-head in the online charity tournament to see who will reign supreme. It’s a pretty big event considering we’ve only gotten online ones for the past couple of months. With COVID-19 slowing down and hindering the plans of game companies, this is probably the best that we’re going to get for now.
And those are what you can expect on Fortnite for November 2020! It’s looking like the Marvel Knockout is becoming Epic’s main highlight for November thanks to the $1 Million Cup at the last segment of the tournament.
A million dollars is a lot of money after all. Who doesn’t want to have that much money added to their bank account? Other than that, you can get some nifty Marvel skins before they get released in the Fortnite item shop should you win in one of the Marvel Knockout Cups.
