Your devices are not connecting to your internet provider, and all you can see is the Roku Error Code 009.  This may be as a result of a bad network signal, a corrupted data file, your device configuration, and more. In this post, I’ll be showing you how to fix this issue with just a few easy solutions. 

The Roku error code 009, occurs on your TV and other devices when you’re not connected to the internet. In clear words, your wireless internet network is not functioning in sync with your Roku. The error is a simple indicator that your Roku is connected to the wireless router but still not working. Your incoming connection is not collaborating or having the proper internet signal. This error may have been caused by a few things.

What Causes the “Error Code 009” on Roku?

It could be corrupt data, your cache, your device configuration, and more.

Solution 1- Power cycle your device

In most cases, the error may have been caused by a conflict within your launch configuration. This may be as a result of a corrupt file. Therefore, in this step, you would be power-cycling your devices and in doing so, you would clear your cached data. This may also clear your DNS cache for the router.

To get it done, you should follow these steps:

Step 1: Unplug your power cord from your wall socket for all your devices involved in the process. 
Step 2: Select and hold your “Power” button on the devices. You should hold for at least 15 seconds.
Step 3: Connect the plug of your power cord back in. Ensure your socket is powered up, and then hold your power button for them to turn back on.
Step 4: Here, you should wait for your devices to come on and then inspect to see if the issue persists.

Solution 2- Reset your network settings

Another possibility is that your Roku network configurations have gone corrupt. This may have crashed certain functionalities on your device, making them limited. Therefore, in this solution, you would be resetting your network configurations. 

To do that, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Roku and log in to your account.
Step 2: Head to settings and click on the “System” option.
Step 3: In the next screen, select “System Restart” and click on the “Network Connection Reset” option.
Step 4: Wait for your device to reset and it will automatically restart.
Step 5: When the device turns on, click on the “Settings” option and then select “Network”.
Step 6: Clicking on “Settings” and select “Network”
Step 7: Click on the “Wifi” option, Select the “Setup a New Wifi Connection Option”.
Step 8: Select the wifi you want to connect to and then select the “I am at home”. option.
Step 9: Select the “Automatic” in all succeeding options and enter your password.
Step 10: Once the connection is complete, check to see if the issue persists.

Solution 3- Reset  your software

It may be possible that your software might have been corrupted due to which this error is being shown. Therefore, in this solution, you will reset the software to factory defaults. 

Follow these steps:

Step 1: Open your Roku and log in to your account.

Step 4: In the next screen, select “System Restart” and click on the “Factory Reset” option.
